About The Team
Hi, I’m Valerie Metrejean Woerner owner of Southern Fete. I really have the ultimate dream job. Not because everyday is filled with cake tastings and flowers. This job is hard work. But there are several moments that make all the logistics, heavy boxes, unbearable heat and long days completely worth it:
1. Having a bride leave my office telling me how much lighter she feels after we talk.
2. Getting an email with waaay to many !! that a bride loves the vision I’ve created for her.
3. Every time I see a mother of the bride, who is normally poised and focused during meetings, cutting a rug on the dance floor.
4. When a groom or father of the bride, who are usually men of few words, makes a point to find me during the wedding and tell me how thankful they are I was there for the bride.
5. Getting a text the very next morning from the bride saying how glad she was to have me share in her wedding day.
These are the reasons I do what I do.
Let me have the burden of your wedding day. I can handle it. I’ve got 30 + weddings under my belt. And if I’m being honest, the stress doesn’t bother me one bit. I actually thrive on it. I’ll be calm and keep things moving, and keep you calm in the process. You? Your job is to soak up every moment and have fun!
And that girl on the left in the picture above? That’s my twin sister, Natalie! She allows me to be in two places at once on the wedding day! You’ll find her tying chair sashes, taking care of the bride and groom’s parent’s and chatting with vendors.
About The Process
I CRAVE creativity and consider myself at my best when I’m creating weddings for couples that WANT and NEED that creativity. Come meet with me and tell me all about you as a couple, your likes and dislikes, how he proposed, where you first met. I’m not here to create Southern Fete wedding # 31. I’m here to create YOUR big day. Trust me with your past memories to create a vision for your most memorable day.
